Yuck
Ok, so first off- my roommates fiance is home. (The one that got hit by a bomb). He's going to lose one eye, but otherwise he's doing really well. His spirits are up, he acts just like the guy that left a few months ago. PRAISE GOD for that! Thank you for all of your prayers concerning him! Now that he's home, they're planning a Jan. 07 wedding, so yay for them!
Alright, so, I come home from the weekend away and find body chocolate in our fridge. It's certainly not ours, and our other roommate doesn't have use for it. I almost wish I was curious about whose it was. Disturbing on SO many levels.

Where's my big handsome man when I need him?
I'm sick today. Throwing up is a terrible way to wake up. I'll spare you the gorey details, but it's much worse than stomach flu ever was- I've had that twice. I don't know what caused it, but it's sure crappy. Luckily it chose a day that I only have to work 3 hours in the afternoon. I'm still constemplating work even though I'm too weak to move right now. In 2 hours I should be ok enough, right? Bleh. It's just so hard to call in sick and everyone hates you (really hates you, and talks about you all night)
In other news: Go visit Mary and welcome her to the blogging world! She's one of my bridesmaids and my biggest support right now (behind tony of course). She's wonderful, so go visit her!

My friend Bill and his wife Linda had their first baby boy on Saturday. Garrett Andrew was born at about 12:30. He was breached and huge, so she had a c-section about a week and a half early. He's beautiful. blue eyes, lots of brown hair. Bill is the happiest (can we say permanent smile) and bestest daddy ever and will be the bestest daddy ever for the rest of the kids' life. YAY!!! Congrats Bill and Linda!!

Today I really miss him
Today we had our second counseling session. Well, first real session.
I left fealing enlightened and amazed by our officiant. He's only a little older than 30 and possesses incredible knowledge. It feels like you're just hanging out with him and having a casual conversation and all the sudden you realize how many incredible things you've just been hit with. He's also quite real and doesn't live in the fantasy world that some Christians live in. He won't tell you that things should be a certain way and all you have to do is trust. He'll let you know straight up that he knows it's hard and theres no easy answer. (And then proceeds to give you a great answer). What an amazing man of God... but still so laid back.

Thorn
I went to see The Thorn tonight. It's a big easter time production at a local church. 1100 people were involved in the drama. It was incredible- sure the acting, etc.; but the conviction of it, etc. was just amazing. SO good.
Two of the coolest things that they did, I thought, was the way Satan was portrayed and the way he tries to get into our mind. Whenever someone had a battle raging in their mind, Satan and his demons would dance around the person making crazy noises, etc. When Judas was in anguish- Satan danced around him and then handed him the rope to hang himself. Such a good picture. The other thing was at the very end, the narrator talked about the prisoner who was released by Pilot when the people were given the choice of him or Jesus. (His name escapes me, but it starts with a B). He was the first person who received what we all received. He was a convicted criminal who was set free and Jesus died in his place. He did nothing to receive his freedom but it was obtained by this man who took his place. Amazing, really. I never thought of it that way.

Happy Thursday
I both opened and closed today.. yep thats right. Too tired for any real thoughts, but here's some things that happened today:
"Keerlen, come get me!" -L (age 2, and yes that's how he pronounces my name)
"I'm just wiggling my.... penis" -K (age 3)
"Call an excorsist to drive out the evil in it" -B (age 22) he was talking about dirty toys! He was also there right after opening and closed too. It does things to you, I'll tell ya.
I'm eating the driest hamburger ever right now, it's really pretty gross. At least it's substance and meat substance too. That's all it takes
I went to Starbucks twice today

When I look at the stars
Brinnie got her dress today! YAY!!!! She looks Amazing in it!! My sister-in-law is the only left to get hers and she looks great in everything (yeah, one of those girls ;) ) so I'm not worried. My friends are all so hot! How did I get so lucky? Beauty attracks, I guess. Hehe
I wasn't having any luck getting ahold of Tony tonight (we talk everynight, I'm not a psycho fiance ;) ), and then he finally called me, so I asked where he's been.... "Ummm...... I had to come see you [ie- drive 4 hours for 1 day]. Because...I'm in love with you. And that's that"

Ready to stay all day in the sun
I had a really stressed out day. We have so much to do and my wonderful fiance is scheduling lots of things during his very limited days off. When is it my turn?
Got approached by a guy today at the mall. He started with "are you a student around here?" and then let me know that he wasn't hitting on me, just wanted to do a quick survey for his communications class. I didn't want to talk to him, but I figured I could contribute to his comm. class. Yeah, right!!! He was selling magazine subscriptions in order to go on a trip to Europe. You tell me what you would've thought about a guy that says: "Europe. Have you ever been there? You have? Are you married? Oh, engaged... is he bigger than me? Oh, I guess I can't take you then" Eww
And yes, my title is from The Little Mermaid soundtrack (Part of your world). I have an excuse, I work at a daycare.

God's Will
Had an experience today that I'm having a hard time describing...
We had a little boy come in today and it was actually his second time but the first time I didn't hear the situation so didn't really notice anything was going on. His name is Caelin (yes, pronounced the same way and I was told it means mighty warrier when spelled that way). He's 3, but looks like a 9 month old- he's that small. He's on oxygen and the first time he came I literally thought he was a baby that was on oxygen and slept the whole time. I found out today the whole story... I don't actually know what's technically wrong, but he has 1 seizure every month and I think the main problem is that his brain is way under-developed. He's pretty much so drugged up that he just kind of lays there. They bring him in right after they give him his medicine so he'll always sleep the whole time. We talked to his sister a little today (she's 6). We asked her if she likes her little brother and if they get to play. She said "no, he doesn't have enough brain" but she said she gives him hugs and he especially likes kisses. So darn sad! Early in the discovery, my friend and I were hoping that he would get better as he grew older but it sounds like it's hopeless. I hate using those words and tried to find something better but couldn't. I know God works miracles...
It was just so sad and it struck something in me that I really can't explain. He was so peaceful and so cute! It just breaks my heart that a 3 year old is that small and unable to play and exist like a normal 3 year old.
My title, for you non-country fans is a song that was popular last year about a kid named Will who was handicapped but the singer discovered what an incredible kid he really was. She sings it like the God's will that means plan, but you discover that she means 'God's child, Will'. Great song.

A day in the life
Top 4 worst names of kids that I've met recently:
4. River
3. Duece
2. Dart
1. Brewster
We picked out tuxes on Saturday. Groom, groomsmen, ushers, and dads.
I'm quite pleased with our selections and confident that the men in my life will look outstanding!
Tony will wear a tux with a slight pin stripe (really slight) and silver vest and tie. Everyone else has solid black tuxes- groomsmen get burgendy vest and tie that match the bridesmaid dresses, with a checkered pattern (only a texture, not different colors or anything), ushers get solid black vest and tie and dads get a black vest with the same checkered texture and a tie that matches their wifes' dress. They will be the sexiest men around.
We also looked at wedding rings. yay!!! :) Tony tried on some with diamonds but it just wasn't a good fit. We ended up with one with a silver (white gold) pattern in the yellow gold ring. I really like it! Mine is a small channel set diamond ring. There's like 6 really small diamonds in it- 1/10 of a carat total. I tried on several and pretty much liked everything. I was almost convinced to go with the same ring in white gold. It looked really cool next to my yellow gold ring (especially since his is a combination). In the end I decided it was too drastic and unconventional. I liked the yellow better. We haven't bought them yet but we're pretty sure we'll go with them. They're cheaper than we budgeted for too, at another store mine fit in the budget and his way surpassed it. I'm really glad we found them.
In other news, my roommate is passing the bounderies of normal pissing off. Over the weekend she took out her trash only and put my trash in front of my room (as opposed to next to the trash can where it was), she trashed the lasagna tony brought me, and when we came home today and she was eating at the dinner table, she got up and picked up all her food and took it up to her room. Now, we've never fought... I have nothing against her or any anger towards her... I have no idea what her issue is. 2 more months, 2 more months!
I had another name for that list, but when I started typing it I couldn't remember. Grrr...
