the days of our lives

I've come to discover that I have bronchitis.. again

Last night I dutifully took my cough syrup and went to bed. My husband got home around 2 and woke me up. I was almost back to sleep again when I found myself in the biggest coughing fit ever. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I finally got enough breath to get out of bed and take more cough syrup. In time it overcame me and put me back to sleep. This morning I woke up super dizzy and so lightheaded! My head felt high and funny all morning
That leads us to the #1 question: Which is better? The innability to breathe, or OD'ing on cough syrup???

Back to school back to school

I feel so smart and empowered when I'm in class. I LOVE learning something I'm interested in and passionate about. I soak it all in and crave more. I'm loving school so much more than working full time. I was thinking today in class how relaxing and refreshing it is. It's also really nice to fellowship with a room full of adults!
For one of my classes this semester, I have to do a case-study and full write up on a child and their development. I can't wait!! I already know which little girl I want to do, I just have to get the parent permission. It seems like such a big project but I can't wait to get started. I've turned into such a nerd :-/

Everything's Bigger in Vegas

It's been so long, again, since I've had an internet connection!

We went to Vegas on New Year's and stayed for 1 1/2 days. So fun!! It was our first vacation being a married couple since our honeymoon. Twas wonderful

I've been having a couple of issues at work. One involved a mother filing charges against me for something I didn't do. My name was finally cleared and I walk away with a lecture from a police officer. Basically, she blamed me for breaking his leg and nothing happened in my care that would warrant a broken leg. It turns out he sustained a "toddler fracture" which happens randomly to toddlers, no rough play has to even be involved. Their growing bones are weak and it just happens. It's been sad, scary, disheartening, and has kept me up worrying a couple of nights. The really great part has been that my director has been on my side through the whole ordeal. She hasn't once doubted me and has told me several times that she'll back me to the end. Amazing, eh?
Anyways... that's over and I don't really want to talk about it anymore :-P

In other news- 2 of my close friends got engaged this past couple of weeks. So exciting!! And one of my best friends is getting married Sunday. I enter that wedding with mixed feelings, but choose to be excited for her.

My sister-in-law finally gets to come on monday! She couldn't get here for christmas because of the blizzard and the airport shutting down. So she'll be here monday, yay!
