starting fresh
Married life is an adjustment.... but I reccomend it to all!
We went shopping yesterday to take back double gifts and use our gift cards. We had some-what of a plan before we walked in the store of what we needed to get. At the first store, we had $230 to spend. It sounds like so much and we were sure we'd have some left over for another day. We got a few things that weren't received from our registry and a couple of other things we needed. The total came to $224! He grabbed the massager I've been dying to have and made our total $234. That means we got a ton of things and only spent $4. Great day! Then, we went to the second store and he was stressing out because we needed a ton of groceries (new apt!) plus all of the things off of our registry that we still needed (needed, not wanted!). Well, we stocked our bathroom and then did groceries. We didn't total it up as we went (except for the bathroom stuff), we just got what we needed. We also didn't know how much our gift cards were worth, but we were thinking somewhere around $150.
The total at the register was $230 and I could see a stroke brewing in him. He handed her the cards and she started scanning. The total got down to $10!!!! We got so many things yesterday (more than I can even remember) all for $14!!!! We're so blessed! Plus I've gotten a package from my parents 2 days in a row containing 3 things off our registry that we didn't get. (Including the Kiss the Cook apron! woohoo!)
What a great day... God is good!
I've been working on my honeymoon album. We have over 350 pictures (we took around 450). I've been doing it for 3 days and feel like I'm getting no where. I'm probably only 1/3 done. It will be good when I'm done though. The only problem is that I'm going to run out of pages soon. Darn it!
Had my first 4 hours of lab experience time in the childrens center on campus. Worked with the age that I'm not crazy about, but I think I impressed them today.
