Seattle, Portland, Cali, and back again!
My trip was wonderful! A much, much needed break away from everything. I was so engrossed in everything that's going on at home that my trip was just a second thought and I was lucky I even remembered to pack and go; I was so blessed to be able to go, though. For 4 days I forgot about everything here and didn't have any obligations. It was a dream.
We started in Seattle:
saw the world famous fish mart, but it was closed!!! We were so sad.. the only thing people could figure is that it was the holiday weekend so everyone was gone. I think they should've been there, just for us!:
Went to the Beautiful wedding of Tony's good friend:
For my birthday dinner, we went to a WONDERFUL seafood restaurant downtown. We mentioned that it was my brithday, so they gave me the dessert of my choice for free. We picked Baily's irish cream cheesecake (oh. my. gosh. yum!). It came on a square plate with "Happy 21" written on it in chocolate. So cool!
After the wedding, we drove along the coast to Portland. It should've been a 3 hour drive, but it took us about 9 hours instead. So worth it! I'm really glad we did it.
I got to spend my 21st birthday with these 2 crazy kids :)
We toured Portland, hung out, and got to see Multnomah falls (which is amazing). Brit woke me up with a cupcake/ choclately creation for my birthday :) And then that night, we bought a small cake and put 21 candles in it and cut it in 4 pieces. Brit's piece ended up ground into my pores. Check Daves smug for those pictures. It was a fun way to spend a birthday!
Upon leaving Portland, we returned to Seattle for our flight home. We had THE BEST 3 hour layover in LA. His sister and her boyfriend and his best friend came and picked us up, we went to dinner and then walked on the beach for 20 minutes. Then we came home....
It was amazing to spend 4 straight days with him in an unfamiliar city. To see how freaking well he took care of me, on so many different levels; and to see us work through situations and make decisions together. Getting to hug him and hold his hand for 4 straight days is such an unmatched, wonderful thing. I feel like my love for him deepened by almost 100%. He's going to make a great husband.
Now I'm off to VEGAS!!! Girls only trip. 21st birthday/about to get married trip. I can't wait!
