I'm back!

Hello blog world!!!! It has been oh so long since I've had an internet connection!

This week, 2 1/2 feet of snow buriedd my town and left it innoperable for 2 days.
I have never seen this much snow in my life! We had a blizzard about 10 years ago but it was nothing like this. Everywhere I go, I'm just in awe of how much snow is around. Especially now that they've plowed parking lots and there are mounds of snow 6 or 7 feet high! Tony's car was entirely buried and he had to spend almost an hour digging it out with the snow shovel. Whenever I drive somewhere, I feel like I'm off-roading because I have to drive through so much snow (probably 5 inches, after plowing). Sometimes a lane will just end because there is so much snow in the road. Our airport was closed for 2 1/2 days. I'm sure you've heard all of it on the news. It's so sad for so many people. My husband works there if you remember.... he had 2 days off but then yesterday ended up working 13 1/2 hours!! That's how crazy and busy it is there now. The sad news for my family is that my sister-in-law didn't make it here. She was supposed to fly in early thursday morning- since it was closed all thurs that obviously didn't happen. Since there are so many people that missed flights, they told her the earliest they can get her here is monday at best. Her and her mom are so dissapointed and I don't blame them! Her mom has been pretty down. I'm going shopping with her today so hopefully that will help, but it's still pretty sad.

In other news- we got a cat!! It was a christmas present from his parents. He wanted her but I had no idea he even wanted on, let alone that we were getting one (funny how that never came up). He said he wanted to surprise me. I came home from work and there was a cat here! I was a little iffy on it at first, but she's grown on me so much. She's the best cat I've ever met- so friendly and loving. She looks like a cow- white with big black spots. Her name was Bessie (like bessie the cow) but we re-named her Mallow (like marshmallow, but pronounced like Melo- the basketball player ;) )

I can't WAIT for christmas! Yay christmas!!!!
